Story
Hi there!
Thank you for coming to my page. I'm participating in this year's IRONMAN 70.3 in Swansea and i am fundraising for Alzheimer's Research UK.
For those people that know me, they know I am an active person and over the last 10-15 years i have challenged myself beyond my limits in marathons/ultra marathons. Now i want to go one step further and fulfil a dream and complete a half ironman, this is no easy task and involves a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride and finally a 13.1 mile run. (I am awful at swimming)
The reason being I am doing this, I want to support Alzheimer's Research UK as I have seen first hand how this horrible disease effects families, destroy lives and how it challenges them. I would like to give something back and help those in need.
In the past I like to make fundraising fun and not adverse in stepping out my comfort zone by doing fancy dress and crazy challenges. There will be some fun events coming up so watch this space.
