Ironman at 40 for Alzheimer's- one for Betty and everyone else that helps along the way;-)
2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and a full marathon all in one day...why not eh?
Turning 40 can be a turning point/ midlife crisis time;-) Mine is to combine something incredibly challenging and along the way raise some funds for Alzheimer's research in honor of my little grandma "Betty" battling the disease.
The prep for an Ironman is going to be a battle in itself and it is a testament to resilience, dedication, and the power of purpose.
Thanks in advance to everyone that plays a part! Your donation will make a difference to a great cause. However, it will also help when the motivation is flagging or on race day when I'm 20 miles in and have another 115 to go (uh oh).
